The day after Curlvolution, I made my way to Afro Hair and Beauty Live for another fun day with my blogger ladies. Have a look at all the fun we go up to and find out what controversy arose at the show!
It was relatively calm when Monique and I arrived on day 1. There were plenty of shops and afro hair and beauty products available from every angle, but the mood was calm, until…
The topless male dancers came on stage, and the audience seemed to quadruple.
After tearing ourselves away from the show, we headed up to the VIP lounge. We were met with glasses of juice and champagne and strawberries in the VIP lounge!
Before heading back downstairs, we bumped into @iGrewItLong looking effortlessly glam as usual.
We then took our first of many group pics… Aida (@eyedahfineme) Neecie and Elle (@NaturalHairDaily) Elouise (@CurlyEllaBella) Simone (@Simbafarian) Yolanda (@Yolandaas) Jade (@TheCurlyCockney) Monique (@Solelyssentials)
As Elle and Neecie were talked through the new ORS natural hair range, Aida refused to understand the definition of candid pics…
Me Ellouise and Aida
The amazing ORS #TagORSEurope machine! As soon as you posted a picture with the hashtag, a ORS gift would come out of the machine.
Bumped into the lovely Esther (@esther_tope) for the second time! Looking as stunning as always.
Jade was happy with her freebies
The amount of natural hair stalls had definitely increased from last year, however, Afro Hair and Beauty Live still had to supply to the demand for relaxers at the event. There was also an extremely controversial skin bleach stall, ironically titled ‘Mama Africa’ – read about the controversy that stall caused here.
Ginny (@FroGirlGinny) was back on the Ossat stall again this year!
Myself and Ginny
It was lovely to meet followers at the event too!
Some of us ladies enjoying the perks of the VIP lounge!
Great to see that ORS will be sold in Tescos! Small steps leading to big changes!
Bumped into the beautiful bride-to-be Tayo (@its_just__tay). Check out her adorable wedding plans on her website here.
Monique was clearly very excited to be there for a second day!
It was A LOT busier on Monday. Every aisle was full of people!
The start of the barber competition…
Judged by the lovely Sandy and Sandra from GoggleBox!

Sandy and I… I was trying my best not to look like a crazed fan at this point…
all the while Sandy was pulling faces!
Of course we had to visit the lovelies from ORS again!
And ORS can now be found in Boots as well! Nice to know that Boots is progressing.
