If you follow our instagram (@thelondoncurls – follow it now!), you may have noticed that rather than getting the big chop I had been building myself up for, I made a slightly different BIG change to my hair. For the first time in my life, I bleached my hair!
With the help of my friend, I decided to ombre the ends of my henna-ed hair on the last few days before getting the big snip on Wednesday last week. However, even after my hair turned bright orange (as can be expected after repeated henna treatments) I fell head over heels in love with the colour!
Although I will be jetting off to Thailand for three weeks tomorrow, a video of my hair bleach journey will be uploaded in my absence, so don’t you fret, you will get to see how I came to this transformation. Until then, have a look at some of the pics of my new hair!
So what do you guys and girls think? Keep the colour or big chop as planned? I’m anticipating my hair going through quite a bit of hell due to the sun, sea and sand in Thailand, so a big chop may be on the cards when I get home, but I’d still love to hear your thoughts and tips on how to keep it looking and feeling healthy.
I have already stocked up on Kinky Curly Knot Today (aka, the most moisturising leave in everrr), coconut oil to keep my hair and body moisturised and deep protein treatments. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
Anyway, apologies in advance for the slow uploading of posts and videos, however we have big news for you around the corner, and I will be vlogging my time in Thailand as much as possible so stay tuned.
With love from London,
