My Life

HAIR HAUL!

Other than an oh so slight addiction to clothes shopping, there is one other addiction I just can’t kick to the curb… curly hair products! I am 100% a hair product junkie, and proud! There are few products I haven’t tried, and those that I haven’t, I will very happily give a go *hint hint nudge nudge wink wink*.

That being said, I could not be happier with this week’s additions to my product collection/library/catalogue/department store. As you know, on Thursday, GirlsTalkCurls got together for their first meeting. Each of us received a goodie back from Paks Cosmetics and samples from Mixed Roots and Mazuri. Safe to say I was a tiny bit ecstatic.

Below is a picture of all the goodies we got within the bag. I’m talking hair products, a Curlformers instructional DVD (something I clearly need as you can see by my curlformers fail video), leaflets and a personalised message from Mixed Roots. Extremely cute!

IMG_1723Just when I thought I couldn’t take anymore, the hair products I ordered from BeautyByZara came through on Friday! See all the goodies below!IMG_1717

I had ordered my staple styling products, Kinky Curly Curling Custard and the Knot Today leave in, as well as the new Stellar Strands deep conditioner that Kinky Curly has only just brought out. It looks heavenly, doesn’t it?IMG_1719As well as this, I decided to get large bottles and tubs of the Entwine range, having used the sample sizes after buying them at the Curlvolution event. The products gave me the best braid out results I had ever had, so I had to add them to my collection.

As always, BeautyByZara supplied me with plenty of hair samples along with my purchase, as well as a £25 off my next purchase voucher for if I review each of the products I purchased. Challenge accepted!

So look forward to seeing lots of product reviews and tutorials from me over the next few weeks. Having already tried the Entwine products in my braid out, I thought I would try them out in my Wash and Go today. I will also be using the Mixed Roots Curly Kinky Replenishing oil as a hot oil treatment before I start as my hair has been feeling pretty dry recently.  IMG_1726Keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram and blog today, as I will post the finished results once my hair is dry. I will also try and get the full product reviews up on the YouTube within the next week or so!

With love from London,

Davina x

I’ve read good things about Entwine. I’ve not tried it yet. I really like Mixed Roots but now that my hair has been coloured I have to combine them with protein treatments for better results. I’ve not tried the oil yet though. My eyes are peeled looking forward to seeing your results.
