The #LOUDER Balistiq EP Launch Party

On Thursday 14th August, I attended the #LOUDER Balistiq EP launch party in Brick lane, E1, with my fellow curly, Simone (@Simbafarian). Balistiq – who have collaborated with the likes of Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Wiley Kano and Delilah – released their highly anticipated first EP on the night, and as we enjoyed various DJ sets, BBC 1xtra simultaneously announced the release of the EP on air. I see big things for Balistiq, so keep your eye on them.

The launch started at 6pm and went on until 9pm, and while we listened to the tunes and enjoyed the good vibes, we were treated to free drink and delicious caribbean canapés.

The event’s setting was in B-Side on Hansbury street, with the latest in exclusive London fashion surrounding us as we danced. Each person that was their received a free B-side T-shirt in celebration of the event, and I am looking forward to showing it off when the sun finally comes back out! If you’re ever in the Brick lane area, don’t hesitate to drop by.IMG_2297

As well as enjoying the music, the best part of the evening was spending time with my Simone and getting better acquainted with her friend Valentina and cousin Candice. We have an odd relationship as you can see below!

From how much they squabbled as we tried to find the place, you’d think that Simone and Candice were sisters rather than cousins. They’re so cute!

In between sets, we caught up with the producer Andrew from Balistiq (@Andros_maximus). As Simone has known him for years, it was only right I took a photo!

After the launch, Simone also introduced us to Andrew’s brother Patrick (@RebelClash).

The Caribbean canapes had only tickled our appetites, so after the event Simone, Valentina, Candice, Patrick and I walked down to a Dim Sum restaurant by Shoreditch High Street station. We laughed for hours sharing stories of our traveling experiences over delicious Chinese cuisine. The perfect end to a perfect night.

As always, I brought my camera along, so I will be sharing a few of the natural beauties I came across throughout the night over the next few days. Make sure you check out Balistiq’s website as well as their SoundCloud to hear their fresh EP.

With love from London,

Davina x
